Question
I have two cats in the premisis.  One is fine, the other has lost weight, drinks water constantly and pees every where lately and I suspect FUS.  If it was FUS, would the other cat not show signs of it aswell?  They eat the same food, use the same boxes etc and the younger one shows no sign of illness.  ANy ideas??

Answer
This is more likely to be kidney disease or diabetes or hyperthyroidism.  You need to take your cat to the vet for an examination and blood testing.  FUS is referred to as Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease and is related to urinarty tract infection, crystals, inflammation and difficulty urinating--it is NOT increased urination and weight loss.  Each cat is different and they both do not need to be affected by the same disease process just because they are related or live in the same house just as human siblings or people living in the same house don't get the same diseases.
