cut on dogs eyelid

My dog got into fight with another dog today. He has a cut on his lower eyelid. His eye does not appear to be scratched. But it seems to be swelling. It does not appear to be bothering him. I have used an eyewash (same as cleaning your contacts with) should I be using an antibotic? Thanks Wendy

I am so so so sorry that it took this long for me to get back to you. If your dogs eye is still swollen and it don't look like it's healing, I suggest that you take him to the vet and they will give you something to fight the infection. If it is starting to heal up, I would just let it be and keep it clean with a warm rag and mild soap. Rinse it good. Well, I hope I helped. Again I am so sorry for the delay.
