Question
Hello, my cats eyes periodically dilate and stay that way for hours, then return to normal. His blood pressure was checked last year and I was told it was normal, however the vet said he was blind and there was nothing he could do! The cat is NOT blind-he gets around our new home just fine and does not act blind at all. Is this dilation a symptom of something else? Thanks

Answer
he could be blind!  Cats cope well with blindness as they have excellent smell and hearing to compensate for blindness.  Whiskers also help them get around.  Animals act differently with blindness.  Humans need help whereas animals live normal lives and they have other survival senses
