Do you know what may cause our cat to lose hair on it's legs. We thought it may be dry skin, but not so sure about that now.

AnswerHi Robert. I would definitely take your cat to your veterinarian. Hairloss is a key symptom in Feline Hyperthyroidism. It's very common in older cats and is controlled with medication.
If your cat is between 1 and 3 years of age, your cat may have Feline Eosinophelic Granuloma Complex. This is a skin condition that shows up within this age group. One of the most common places is the legs. This is treated with monthly or bi-monthly injections of Depo-Medrol, which is a steroid.
