found an abandoned newborn kitten.

hello I found a kitten about 3 days ago, it couldnt have been more than a few days old, its eyes are still closed and it can fit in my palm. Anyway I was wondering if its alright to let it have as much kitten formula as it wants, instead of the 8cc's per ounce which I've been reading everywhere. Also since I've had it the thing hasnt pooped at all, does that mean something is wrong? one more thing.. it twitches alot.. like when its sleeping, I was wondering if that means low blood sugar? I put about 5 drops of corn syrup in the formula the last time I fed it to try and help.. if you can help me out I'd really appreciate it :) (by the way I've called the animal hospital near me and they acted like they didnt know what to tell me). anyway, thanks for any help...I'm worried about the poor lil thing.. please reply even if you cant help, if you can tell me where to check for the info I need.

You must stimulate the kitten to go to the bathroom by rubbing it's bottom with a warm wet cloth after feeding--normally mom would lick them and clean them.  The stool will be very liquidy but s/he should be going to the bathroom several times a day.  Eyes usually open at 10-14 days.  I wouldn't worry about the twitching if it is only happening during sleep, but the kitten should eat every 3 hours when this young.  Use Kitten Formula and follow feeding instructions on the label.  Best thing is to weigh the kitten daily...s/he should gain weight daily.
