puppy/small dog leg injury

Question

my dog bunny Hi last night my small 1 1/2 lb Chihuahua Maltese fell from about a foot off the ground and she wouldn't walk on her leg for about 2 hours last night. Now today she's starting to use it and walks on it fine but when she runs she doesn't put all the weight on it. She climbed over the pen before and jumped down and never got hurt. The thing is when she fell she hit her left side on the floor but the right side is the one shes not using. Could she have pulled a muscle when she fell? I moved the leg in every direction and she didn't cry or make any noise and actually is quite happy and playful. Any ideas?

What a darling dog! When dogs fall in weird positions they can often tear a ligament in their knee. That or their patella (knee cap) can get pushed out of alignment for a few minutes.
I would watch her for a day or two and see if it gets better. If it does she simple bruised and sprained it, if not it is more serious.
Then I would call the vets.
