Canine stroke?

Question
Can dogs have strokes? My dog is 13, and her right paw folds under. Vet said it may be neurolgical, and an MRI would determine the cause.

Answer
Hello Lyn-  yes, dogs can have strokes just like humans.  She could be having troubles with the paw because of nerve damage.  You can find out about getting a splint for her paw.  It will keep it straight so she can walk better.

Look up : Dog leg splints.
You will find all kinds of help for her paw.  The splints start at about 40.00 and go up.

BEST wishes!
