lab with wounded leg

I am worried about my 10 wk lab mix she has injured her back leg and appears in much pain. she now keeps it tucked rt up and willl not put weight on it. she has been lying still as much as possible but when she does move she sounds like in such pain from her cries. I want to see if i can give her anything to help with the pain until i can get her to a vet. i have seen different pros and conss to this aspirin thing. she is over 12lbs and 10 wks in age.

First of all, let me apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I hope that you have already gone to the vet and resolved the problem.

Second, in the future, I do not recommend giving any over the counter medications without the advice of your veterinarian.  Animals are not small people and some medicines at the drug store can be toxic to them.  

Last, check your local listings for a 24 hour veterinary emergency clinic.  Most cities these days have emergency rooms for pets so that they do not have to suffer until your veterinarians office opens.
