Cats health quesion?

I have a long haired cat unsure of what breed. She is about a year and a half old. She had her first litter of kittens about 10 0r 11 weeks ago.Everything was well until about a week ago. I first noticed weight lose, then the hair on her tail is thining alot. She is long haired so her tail has always been realy full.Now I can see the bone? around her neck hair is thining and is corse looking? I have no idea what caused this she looks so different in her appearance not the same cat at all.It has been hot we live in the south but she has access to water& food daily.She does have fleas but she's an outdoor cat but since the change have treated the fleas.Our finances keep us from the actual vet's office:( but would love to help our family pet! If I were you I would call around until I find a veterinary office that has rates that I can afford.  Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what is wrong with your kitty without the benefit of a physical exam.  

The symptoms you describe indicate that your kitty may be getting very sick and the longer you wait to have her seen by a professional, the worse her symptoms may become.  If she has fleas, do not attempt to treat her with over the counter flea meds - they are very dangerous to cats and have been known to be very harmful when applied to cats that are already sick.
