Dog Digestive problem

Question
My 3 year old female Springer Spaniel mix "Candy" has had pure white poop the last 2 days. Her stool is usually dark brown. It is the same consistency, the only difference is that it is white. She eats dry Dog Chow and she does get table scraps and a daily vitamin. Is this something serious that needs to be checked out by a vet? Thanks.

Answer
You are right on this Trisha, she has a digestive problem.
Usually this type of problem results in a white, voluminous and mucous-coated stool.

Whether or not this is from her food is a moot point right now. What she needs is an exam and some blood work at the vets.

Once he checks her out and finds out what is wrong you will probably get some diet recommendations from him and some enzymatic powder for her food, depending on what the problem might be.

I hope she recovers quickly. Please let me know what you find out.
