Question
QUESTION: Hi Marie:  I've spoken with you about my dog with allergies.  I bought him wellness core.  But after reading on the net I was a little worried. Some people have complained about their dogs receiving Urinary Tract infections from it. What is your take?  I just bought another bag and hope that I'm not going to create him another problem, plus its not a cheap food.

ANSWER: Hi Brenda - I understand your concern.  Yes, some dogs that "already" have urinary concerns should not be on this food.

They need a special food to reduce the possible chances of stones and deposits...

I feel the food has major benefits and I am not concerned.  If you would like, have some blood work done every 6-8 months...Just a good CBC will make you feel better.

They can find fault with just about ANYTHING I or anyone suggests.
Right?
I do understand how this can scare you !

You do what you feel is best for your doggie kid.

thanks
Good Luck

QUESTION: There is a lot of scary stuff with dog foods now a days.  Lots of recalls on many of them.  What do you think about Nature's recipe by Delmonte?  If you think Wellness core is better I will keep him on it. He is doing better.

Answer
Natures Recipe is a very good food but it has fillers ....not too many but it does have more than I like to see.
I do have one of my dogs on it.  It is a good food...
****Up to you...
I can't tell you what to do... YOU get the knowledge and then make a choice...  Like I mentioned - you can watch his blood work and do a urine test after 4-5 months... If you would like.

Glad he is doing better on the Wellness Core.

Best Wishes to you two..
