Cyst on paw

Our bichon frise has developed a soft (pink in color) cyst on the bottom of his paw.  It now appears to be coming through on the top side as well.
Do you have any thoughts/ideas on what this might be?

Anytime a dog gets a swelling of this nature it is best to have a vet look at it before it grows any larger.
Since this could be anything from a cyst (unlikely) to a foreign object trying to remove itself from the body.

You really should get him into the vet to have this looked at as soon as you can.
