chihuahua giving birth

when a Chihuahua is giving birth is it normal for them to give birth to a puppy or two and a few hours later give birth again? If so how long can they go before the second batch comes?

Answer
It is very normal for puppies to be a few hours apart. However, 40 mins is the preferred limit. If she still hasn't had them all at least 5 hours after starting delivery, then you should call the vet.
Some puppies are too big and get stuck in the birth canal, especially with these little dogs.
