hair fall !!

Hello,
I have a yellow lab, he is 1 yr 8 months old. he is healthy but sheds lots of hair every day , i consulted our vet he asked me to add sunflower oil in lab's food (we are vegetarians , hence our lab gets to eat boiled eggs, curd , rice and vegetables, though we make sure he eats meat once in week)i did add but the problem is just not solved ..
i am tired of cleaning!! i also have a german shepard but he is just fine. pls help me??

Labs do shed in the summertime.  Some labs have low thyroid levels, which will make the hair fall out, but this dog is a little young for hypothyroidism, although it is possible.  Rather than sunflower oil, I would recommend a fish oil that contains more EPA and DHA, which seem to strengthen the hair follicles.
