My Doberman Pinscher has a two to three inch hard lump under the right side of his jaw.  He is not in any pain and can function normally.  I was just wondering what it could be...

Depends on his age Derek. It's pretty obvious that no one can 'see' a lump in here and any lump that large on a dog needs to be examined right away. It sounds like a salivary gland problem but it could be a tumor of some sort.

Call your vet and have it looked at.
