Broken blood vessel

We just picked up our long haired Chihuahua from the groomers to find she has a broken blood vessel in one of her eyes.  Is there anything we can do to help the eye but also, is there anything we should look out for in possible problems as a result of the broken blood vessel?

That depends on how big this blood vessel is. If it is a small one, and there is just a little blood in the eye, then it should be fine with no treatment.

Once in a while a blood vessel will cause a brown creep across the eye surface. If that looks like it is happening with your dog, then you need to see your vet as they will have an ointment that will make the extra tissues subside and heal.

Otherwise there is not much you can do for a small bleed that has stopped.
