Question
i have a 5mth old bengle kitten, everytime time it eats dry food he has blood in his poo, ive even tryed doing half wet and half dry and still it happens.. when he just has wet food his poo is normal.. i would really like to just give him dry food. i have tryed royal canine and he is now on whiskers. any suggestions

Answer
It's not the fact that the food is dry or wet, but the quality of the food you are feeding. I have seen cats on wet food with (frank) blood in their stool. Switching foods often is another problem that can cause this.

If you value this kitten, and I know you do, then you need to spend the extra few dollars and put him on some Science Diet Kitten formula.

The foods you are feeding are not truly formulated to give your growing kitten the kind of nutrients he needs to meet his energy and growth needs. Science Diet is so digestible that your cats stools will be very small and not smell at all. I have a hard time remembering to change my indoor/outdoor cat's litter box because her stool has no smell. She is 10 and was raised on Science Diet only.

She has a lush, shiny coat and has never been sick. Try Science Diet for a full month and you will see a huge difference in your kitten's stool, his energy and his coat.

They have a money back guarantee on their food. I have been recommending and feeding it for over 30 yrs so I know it works.

This is what I would put him on:

or this:

Remember this: Science Diet has been trial feeding and researching their foods, by veterinary researchers, for over 50 yrs.
No other food can make that claim.

So slowly switch him over a seven day period to avoid any stomach upsets and you will soon see a new cat.
