male dwarf hamster

Question
My male dwarf hamster has had an erection for about 4 days, I have tried giving him a bath and using a Q-tip to wet the area around it and have tried putting neosporin but it still has not gone back in. I'm to afraid to try and push it back in because I don't want to hurt him. Is this normal? I really hate to take him to the vet as it could be expensive but if this is hurting him and he needs vet care then its what have to do. Please try and help any way you can i just want him to be comfortable and I'm worried about him.
