Poodle Food and Stomach Problems

My poodle is two.  A year ago at Christmastime she accidently got into some mouse poison at my parents home while visiting, we almost lost her. We were informed she may always have stomach digestive issues.??  The problem is no matter what I feed her she has stomach growling that is loud.  She also sometimes vomits her food up that night at bedtime and it doesn't look digested.  Many times she refuses her food in the mornings but will eat later in the day.  She also eats grass.  We have even tried can food for sensitive stomachs.  She prefers canned and will not eat dry unless I mix it.  Any ideas???

I don't blame her for not eating dry food. And canned really doesn't have much more meat in it either.

I would start with a mild raw protein like chicken, feeding only that for a couple weeks. Some days feed meat only and others feed pieces with bone in it. Then every week add a new protein source.

I've heard that some grains can cause stomach noises. Can't really say if this is your problem given the amount of information I have to go on. Try feeding her just once a day. I feed in the evenings.

Oh, and eating grass is fine. Let her do it all she wants.

Return her diet to what she was meant to eat and I think your problems will go away.
