Vaccination reaction

Question
With in 90 minutes of receiving her booster shots DA2PP and Corona, our 12 year old toy poodle had a temperature of over 109 degrees, was limp, and could barely breathe.  In our A/C car, she was panting heavy, but I thought she was just "Boston being Boston." She was full of life and hyper. We gave her a tussigon pill to "calm " her down and thought things would be ok once we got home.
PS-She was on tussigon and Prolain(to keep her from peeing everywhere)because of her coughing. X-rays had shown a fat mass pressing on her wind pipe.
We were of course wrong. From what I have researched, she had a reaction to her shots, but what could have caused her temp to sky rocket? She was outside for 60 seconds and could walk esle she was in the vets office or an A/C car.
Would the codeine helped the pain? Thinking back, I wish I had asked my wife to give her it.

Answer
Vaccinating a 12 year old dog for puppy diseases is totally unnecessary and quite dangerous as you unfortunately found out. Take a while and research.

I would recommend that you contact Dr Gerald Wessner who is a holistic vet specializing in homeopathy, or a local homeopath if you have one. Dr Wessner's phone number is 352-245-2025.  You need to obtain the homeopathic protocol for what is termed "vaccinosis" .  The main homeopathic remedy for this is Thuja (30c)which you may be able to find locally. Also, several manufacturers of homeopathic products such as Newton Labs produce a vaccine detoxification compound which can be combined with a standard detox homeopathic formula. You can find Newton Homeopathics on the Internet, and they are wonderfully helpful to talk to on the phone. Tell them that Sue from Naturals for Animals sent you.

Also, I probably don't need to tell you to NEVER vaccinate your friend for ANYTHING ever again. If you must have proof of immunity, get a Titer test taken.
