Ready for fish?

Question
I have read multiple books, and have done a lot of research before I ever started my aquarium. But I still can not get rid of this green glow. I thought a Diatom could clear that right up. Well, it almost did, but it still has a slightly green tint, and now a white cloudy substance at the top. Do you have any ideas?

Answer

Hello,

I would check  your phospate level in your tank.  I have found that high levels of phosphates will create this problem.  Also a 20-25% water change may reduce the overabundance of nutrients that are feeding this algae.

good luck
