QuestionQUESTION: what can i do if i pourded a chemical with a trace of copper,to help with ick,i did a change of 10gl of water. what else i do?
ANSWER: nothing you can do mate, even a trace of copper will harm inverts. it will be absorbed into rocks and the silicone holding the tank together and will lech out over a period of time.
if your keeping a fish only tank it will be no problem at all but if your looking to keep corals or already do your screwed.

QUESTION: i just did it this pass weekend , as far as the coral & inverts , the snails & two shrimp die , i have a alveopora ccoral which looks fine and the frogspawn which close, some mushroom which closed but look like they made it.
Answerthe thing is you have a background level of copper in your system, it could take years to become safe. unfortunatly the other corals will probably die over time, i guess its worth keeping them just to see if they do make it but i certainly wouldn't add anymore corals or inverts for a long time.
get a copper test kit so you can keep an eye on the levels.
