What is this? Hi,
Could someone please tell me what is this? I pulled this from a live rock in my tank. I would also like to know if it is harmful to my fish.

Hi Regina,
That would be(I'm 99% sure) a Echiuroid Worm. Echiuroid worms(echiurans/spoon worms) are soft bodied, unsegmented, marine worms found all over the world.. Around 125 species in the phylum. Echiura live mainly in the shallow intertidal zone of oceans. Most burrow or form tubes in sand or mud. Some live in discarded shells of sea urchins and sand dollars. Others inhabit cracks and crevices in rocks or coral fragments. Nothing Ive heard or read indicates these to be a harmful worm. Feeds on detritus and particulate matter. I wouldnt worry too much. However, as with any hitch hiking critter, keep an eye on him. Hope this helps.
