QuestionHI, I HAVE THREE GOURMIS TWO THREE SPOT AND A GOLD IN A 55 GALLON TANK. MY LARGER OF THE THREE SPOT IS VERY AGGRESSIVE TO THE SMALLER AND THE GOLD. I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS A MALE, THE SMALLER AND THE GOLD DORSAL FINS ARE KIND OF FLAT AT THE END WHERE THE LARGER THREE SPOT IS MORE POINTED. I HAVE LOOKED FOR INFO ON OTHER WEB SITES AND I GET CONTRADICTING ANSWERS. PLEASE HELP THANK YOU-
AnswerHi,
gouramis can aggressive when not kept in pairs. The chances are, your three spot gouramis are both males.
From your information, it is hard to determine the male and female. I would suggest taking them to vet or local pet shop and ask their gender. If they say they are both males, get them both a female pair. If they are already pairs, the larger one (probably the male) might want to spawn with the female. If they are both females, I do not know what to say.
Put lots of plants and hiding places so when they have places to hide.
I am sorry. With the amount of information you gave me, this was the best I could..
