Black Fin Shark Feeding

Question
Hi Karen, I recently purchased a black fin shark, and I'm unable to find food that he likes.  I tried the flakes along with the dried worms that you keep in the freezer.  He hasn't eaten anything in two days, is something wrong with the fish or am I doing something wrong?

Answer
Dear Shaunta,
You could try frozen brine shrimp or even freeze dried foods such as krill.  I would try a variety of foods to encourage him to eat. Just be sure to remove anything he hasn't eaten after a few minutes to avoid polluting the water.  Make sure that your water conditions are really good too.  Sometimes fish won't eat if conditions are not just right. If you haven't had him very long he may be just having a hard time adjusting to his new home. Some fish are really shy.  Make sure he feels secure either with plants or hiding places.  Hang in there--things should improve.
Hope this helps!
Karen
