i think my mollys r pregnant!

ok just yesterday i went to the pet store and replaced some dead fish and decided to get r lonely balloon molly a mate and well i like to try and breed them so i picked a realy fat silver lyretail molly and a bigger than useually balloon molly. the baloon is alittle boxy but the other isnt so much so i was wondering if u can tell me when to put them in a breeder trap please & thank u!

Hi Jim, it sounds like you do have a pregnant Mollies. Her stomach will become square looking when she is close to having the babies. I have tried a breeder trap on one of my Mollies and it didn't particularly work only 5 of 20 babies survived. I would just suggest removing the mother into a tank of her own or even letting her have the babies in the tank she is in now. You'll have more healthy babies because the mother gets stressed in a breeding trap. Remove the babies when they are born and put them in the breeding trap and feed them hikari first bites or crushed up flakes. If you have any other questions let me know. Congratulations!
