Temperture of water

Question
If the ideal temperture of tropical fish is 78 degrees then what would happen if the temperture was kept at 90 degrees? Would they survive?

Answer
90 degrees is way too high for tropical fish of any kind. I do not know if they would survive as I have never had a tank at this temperature. In my experience, tropical fish do best with at least a temperature of 75 degrees; however, most tropical fish love warmer water. The idea temp for most tropical fish would be between 78-85 degrees. Although, I have always kept my tropical tanks at a minimum of 82 degrees and a maximum of 85 degrees. I would never suggest raising the temperature to 90 as this is too hot. I would not even suggest trying this, as it could be harmful. I would recommend keeping your tank at around 82-85, as most tropical fish love this temp, in my experience. I hope this helps.
