My common plec

hi i recently rescued a common plec that had been mistreated i am keeping it in my 200litre tank till my 300 matures when i got the fish it had cuts along its back adn a very nasty one on its fin i have had it for a week now and they don't seem to be healing is there anything i can do to help it? also could it perhaps be one of the other fish having a go at it which is preventing them from healing?

Fish heal slowly from wounds... I would treat him with MALAFIX which is a product that works great for wounds.  If he is not getting better in a few days let me know... Also make sure you are supplementing his diet with algae wafers... an improved diet will help his immune system get stronger and that will lead to faster wound regeneration.  dave
