Comet Goldfish: Fish Help please?

Question

Is he ill?
My 3 year old Comet Goldfish, Vysh, has a minuet red spot on his head; I have been to many websites, but keep coming up with varied results.
He is missing a scale or two on his side, and what I believe to be an old wound. (Missing some fin) and I do not believe it to be tail rot. Vysh does live in a moderately small tank, and I first assumed the tiny dot to be an ammonia burn.
My mom will not let me increase the tank size, because of the economy crisis (Price of certain things) the tank is 6 inches long, and 4 inches high. Vysh is approximately 2 1/2 inches. Temperature is around 73-75 degrees. Water changes take place about once a week.

What could be wrong with Vysh, and what can I do to help prevent illness?

Answer
Hello Ren Ren:  Probably nothing more then a wound or bruise from being in such a small container.  He would do much better in a larger container and you can tell your mom that I said so.  What part of the world are you from???? Here in California you can get a ten gallon aquarium kit (tank, light, hood, and filter) for about $45.... That can be a lot of money...in this economic crisis... I would not worry about Vysh's head for the moment... if it gets worse or changes significantly then let me know.... dave
