pumps and filters

If I have an "Aqua Clear Power Filter", do I still need an air pump? The "Aqua Clear Power Filter', works on the waterfall method. I am building a 10 gal freshwater tank.

Hello Jacque,

You don't need an air pump with the Aqua Clear Power Filter, as long as it is large enough to support your aquarium.

Make sure if it's rated for a 10 gallon tank, to use it on a 5 gallon tank instead.  Ratings are very well known to be about half what is represented.  For a 10 gallon, buy a 20 gallon rated filter.
