Big Lump on Beta Tummy

Question
Today, looking in on my fiesty beta, Bubba, I noticed a distended lump on his right side, up towards the spine. It seems to be stretching out his scales a bit. Right next to his gills on the same side, I noticed something that seems like a white lump. His behavior is fine, appetite fine. I, however, am freaking out. I moved him into his original pint sized tank, and have him under a lamp for the time being. Any ideas or suggestions? HELP! I love my cantankerous fish!

 Hmmm... that doesn't sound good but sadly there isn't much I can offer to help with the situation.  It sounds like some
kind of tumor and I don't know of any treatment for that. Sorry.
