Green colored water

Question
The water in my tank continues to turn green even after repeated cleanings and filter changes. I have bottom feeder fishes and there is no visible algea. The color is more of a lime green than a dark dirty green. Don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my fish.

Green water is a difficult and often quite persistent problem, as you now know. You just have to try several things until something works. Here are some links to sites that go into detail more than I have the space for here;
