Picky Betta - followup

Question
I brought some live brine shrimp home from my lab today and gave them to my picky betta to sample. I think they stimulated his appetite, because he ate a few freeze-dried bloodworms! I'm so happy he's snapped out of his non-eating phase! I also moved him to a smaller tank (3/4 gallon, versus 2 gallon) and he seems a lot happier, like he is not afraid to venture out into the open water to swim around. Do you think it's okay for him to stay in this tank permanently? It's the same water/temperature as his old tank, just smaller. He's still pretty small for a betta; he'll most likely get a bigger home once he "grows up" a little.

Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Amber;

I'm so glad he's doing better! If he seems happier in the smaller one, it's just fine. You can always put him in the bigger tank again later, like you said. Just change the water at least once a week to keep it fresh.
