Problems with pregnant guppy.

Hi Chris,
My fancy guppy had 1 fry today. I kept her in the breeder tank so she could have the rest but nothing happend for hours so I let her out. Could she just be holding them in fo later or maybe was that guppy just more mature than the others inside?

Live bearers can take a couple of days to release all their fry. They usually complete the spawn overnight, but not always. If she still has a large belly, there will probably be more to come.

Another possibility is that the female is young and this is her first spawn. That may be the reason for only one fry.
