Question
QUESTION: Hi
I want to add a Bristlenose Catfish to my 36g bowfront tank with real aquarium plants. Will the Bristlenose Catfish eat my plants? What should i feed it?
Thankyou!!!

ANSWER: Quan,

No it will not eat your plants. You feed a supplemental sinking algae pellet. Also blanched spinach and lettuce can be use to supplement their diet. Because they are algae eaters, they must have veggies in their diet. Good luck with your tank.

QUESTION: Hi
can i also add a Rubber-Lip Catfish to the tank.and will it eat my plants?

ANSWER: Quan,

No it should not eat your plants. He eats the same things as your other. Just be careful about adding too many plecos to your tank. Your tank is really not the best to be adding these plecos. they do get big when they are full grown. You might want to invest in a larger more suitable tank if you want to keep adding plecos.

QUESTION: Hi
I have some question about Bulldog Catfish and Dwarf Otocinclus:
1.How big does they grow?
2.Will they eat aquarium plant?
3.What do you feed Dwarf Otocinclus?
4.Will they eat mopani wood? (I have a dragon looking pice of mopani wood in the tank and i don't want anything eating it.)
5.Do they eat algae in my tank if i have any(what kind)?Thank You, i know that alot of question!!!

Answer
Quan,

1. bulldog is between 2.5 to 10 inches, dwarf otocinclus 3-4cm
2. no they should not eat your plants.
3. algae and vegetables. They will accept softened peas, zucchini and          spirulina. Algae wafers and pellets are good supplements when algae are not plentiful in the aquarium. Dwarf Suckers can be conditioned to  accept a variety of other foods such as flakes and freeze-dried worms.
4. yes the Oto might eat the wood.
5. Yes they eat algae that is what they do. they are aquarium cleaners. that is why I said to not put too many in the tank because they need algae to live off of.
