Green Terrror Cichlids breeding

I have a Green Terror Cichlid that looks pregnant, and I want to know are the eggs are fertilized before they lay or after?

Hi Jake,
 Cichlids don't get pregnant as such, though she may be full of eggs that she is about to lay. They all have external fertilization so the female lays the eggs and then they are fertilized.
