New tank, new cichlid

Question
Hello, I have an established 30 gallon tank and would like to add 2-3 blood parrots. The problem is I can only find 1 at a time at a store. Can I purchase 1 now, wait and then introduce the next 2 when they arrive? I have been to several fish stores besides this one and the blood parrots look sickly. That is why I cannot go to 3 different stores to get 3 different BP. Also, can I put a cory or any type of bottom dweller with BP?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Answer
Hi Michelle,
Yes, you can add others later.  Whether you add them together or separately, there is no guarantee that they will get along.  You improve the odds of them getting along (or at least reaching some kind of truce) if they are all similar in size.

You are right to NOT buy sickly looking fish. Never buy a sick fish.

Yes, you can add a plecostomus catfish with them.  You MIGHT be able to add corydoras but blood parrots can get large and might get too large for corys to be comfortable.
