Question
The last suviver of my tank is a rhino Pleco what do i feed him! Are they algae eaters? i am done with regular fish to much trouble keeping my water chemicals evened out!

Answer
Hi Kelly,
Hmmm...  first aboutt the rhino pleco.  Get some algae wafers (the sinking kind)  and he will probably love those -- mine do!

As for keeping the water chemicals evened out, the reality is that I never even worry about them.  For example, I don't check pH or hardness or any of that stuff (and never really have in 30 years of fish keeping both for fun and research).  I think people put WAY too much emphasis on pH, etc.  Many fish don't care about it.

Is your tap water really toxic?  Or are you on well-water?  Those situations can require some substantial
water chemistry fiddling but for most people you really don't have to worry about it.   All you have to do is regular partial water changes (25% once a week, every week and most fish will be thrilled).
