physical changes in beta

Question
I've had my male Beta Lychee for about 2 weeks and I noticed yesterday that he had a very tiny lump under his gills ( chin area) i'm not sure if it's just his stomach from being well fed, I feed him every morning with beta flakes. Also on his dorsal fin there is a white tip that i noticed, it doesn't look cotony but i don't think it was there before, could he just be changing colours?

Hi Hayley,
  Bettas often have little bumps on the chin so I wouldn't worry about it now but keep an eye on it.

 As for the white tip on the dorsal, that indicates a little bit of fin damage and is perfectly normal.
