Question
Our betta fish (who is just over a year old) has been acting a little strange. He
is less active and spends a lot of time up in the corner of the tank or at the
bottom laying down. He has developed a few pale splotches on his face. We
believe it is a fungal infection. Should we treat him with an anti-fungal
medication? If you think it is, how did he get it? We change his aerated tank
every month as instructed. We think leaving uneaten food in the tank may
have attributed to this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Brittney,
You should be changing 25% of his water once a week, every week to keep him healthy and don't let any uneaten food sit in the tank -- it will rot and hurt him.
