Fantail Goldfish

Hi Jaymie,
I sent you an e-mail yesterday about my goldfish.  I did not mention that i only have one goldfish in the tank.  The tank is 3 gallons.  The goldfish is swimming around today more than yesterday but is still not moving around like he used to.  When he does swim it is kind of irradic.  Yesterday he was almost leaning on his side but today I don't see that happening, just not moving around very much.  I hope you have some information that can help me help my fish.  Please let me know.  Thank you for your time.

Three gallons is not big enough for one goldfish. Your fish should be in a 20 gallon tank at the minimum, with a filter that is for a larger tank. With that small of a swimming home, you have to do complete water changes every day. Until you get him in the right home, you will continue to have problems.
