Black male molly

Question
I just recently noticed my black male molly sitting in the back corner of my tank, he has never done this before, and his body is also puffed out. I wasn't sure what this could be, maybe you have an answer?

Poor guy. If his scales are lifted with a sort of pinecone-look to him, he has a condition known as dropsy. The prognosis isn't good though I'm afraid. Here is a page about it;
