Oscar--Hole in the Head

Question
Rob---My albino oscar is about 5" and recently it's not as active as it used to be.  Less quick and weaker appetite.  I noticed a small hole (wound) above its left eye.  I used to have another oscar with the same hole which grew larger and eventually the oscar died.

Any reason?  What's the remedy?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Larry,
The remedy is much more regular water changes.  Oscars are very susceptible to nitrogen in their water. To top it off they eat a lot, produce a lot of waste and are generally messy eaters all of which puts more nitrogen in the water.  So, you should be changing 25% of the water in the tank, once a week, every week.
