Attacking or playing?? /sleeping???

Question
My calico fantails lay on the sides at the bottom of the bowl and sometimes at the top or in the middle. They don't move but they do continue to breathe. Are they sleeping or are they in danger?

Also, my larger calico fantail, Spottie keeps sort of attacking  my smaller one, Cookie. I'm not sure  if it's attacking or playing because Spottie's mouth almost kind of picks at the smaller one's tail with its mouth and Cookies qucikly swims away to the opposite direction.

Answer
Hi Sujana,
Fish generally don't play.  The one is chasing the other.  Keep an eye on things to make sure that the one (Spottie) doesn't hurt the one that he is chasing (Cookie).

The fact that they are lying ont he bottom of the bowl is not good.  They are not sleeping.  Do you have an airstone in the tank?
