is my guppy having babys

hi I have 3 guppys in my 10 us gallon tank one of my guppys has her gravid spot but she is flat what does that mean? I also have a yellow guppy she is round but she does not have her gravid spot will it apeer or is it so thing elts?

Sometimes what looks like a 'gravid spot' is actually just her internal organs. When there are babies inside the female guppy you sometimes can eventually see their little round eyes. That's what makes the gravid spot dark. Your yellow guppy may have very light colored babies with light colored eyes. That could be why she looks pregnant but doesn't appear to have a gravid spot.

Female guppies are pretty much pregnant all the time as long as there has been a male around. When they are a few days from delivery they will often develop a "boxy" look to their big bellies. The bottom part and the sides are sort of flattish. They will also hide more than usual and the babies are quite often born in the early morning hours before dawn.
