QuestionHello. I have two young redcaps that live in a tank with three other goldfish and a snail. Recently they have displaying odd behavior. They seem to like "cuddling up" hiding behind the filter pump, keeping completely still, belly up and looking dead. However if I put in some effort to bother them they swim around full of energy like nothing is wrong. My water temp is about 26C and I have a 30L tank. What is going on? Should I be worried?
AnswerHi Liesel,
Any time a fish is belly up is cause for great concern. Is it possible that the other fish are bothering them? (that would be my guess). If so, you may need to separate them.
