Questionso i have babies that have hatched and put them in the same water but a special box that keeps them away from the other cichilds? i have had this pair for 3 years and i always have babies, but i have never had any live? how and what do i do to have them live? thanks so much
AnswerHi Laura,
The good news is that you know now that you definitely have a boy and a girl because the eggs have hatched successfully. Not all cichlids are great parents and sometimes it takes them a number of tries to get it right.
If you really want some of the babies to live, I suggest you put them in a separate tank. Feed them frozen baby brine shrimp for several weeks and then they will be large enough to each crushed flake food.
