Can any fish clean a fish tank?

A plecostomus (Pleco) will eat the algae in a tank, but you still have to feed it.  It is a fish, and needs pellets to survive.  Many people don't know this, and think that the Pleco can survive on algae, and waste, but this is false, and many poor pleco's die of starvation.  A pleco will not eat wastes.  He will however keep your tank clean from green algae.  If you do buy a pleco, you will have to buy him pellets.  There are sinking pellets made just for him.  A pleco gets very big overtime, depending on it's size he may need more than one pellet a day.
