My Electric Yellow Cichlid ..

hi ans sorry to bother you

I  have a 50 gallon tank with all sorts of different cichlids in it , abd one of my many Electric yellow cichlids is spending alot of time in the corner doing nothin not moving ...but will swim around for a bit then it will end up back in the corner .... i dont know if it is a female or male its got a black on its top fins but none on its bottom ...would u be able to tell me whats its doing n if it may be going to lay eggs?

She is not going to lay eggs, this is not the way they behave.  Are there enough hiding places in your tank?  Maybe she has no place to hide, and is staying in the corner because she is afraid.  Try changing your decor, by mixing up the rocks, and making new hiding places.  
Maybe they did spawn, and he is guarding the territory.
It could also be a lack of oxygen.  Make sure you have movement in your water.  Never fill your tank all the way to the top.  Leave a pace so that the filter will splash into the water making oxygen for the fish.  Sometimes adding an air stone helps, or if you have a fluval filter, you could add a spray bar.
It is all about observation.
