Question
Hi, it's Sarah again! I am also thinking of getting a red tailed shark, but I need to know if I can keep a *single* red tailed shark in a 10 gallon long tank. Can you help? Thanks!

Answer
Hiya again Sarah!

Redtail Sharks should be kept as singles in any tank, because they become very aggressive towards each other. The average Redtail Shark will grow up to 6". I have 2 in separate tanks that are slightly larger than that. A 10 gallon would be minimal, but you wouldn't be able to put anyone in with it. A 20 gallon would be best if you plan on having tankmates with the Redtail.

Hope this helps, good luck!
